When I reviewed your profile, SilverWolf, I noticed several mistakes and blunders in your games. This is common among beginners, especially those who are trying very hard to improve but lack a clear roadmap.
Don’t worry about the struggle—you’re in good hands! If you follow my suggestions, you’ll see results within one week. Yes, it’s possible!
Let me share my suggestions based on my personal experience. I’ll provide them step by step in the following sections.
Analyzing Your Recent Games
Before diving into suggestions, let’s review two of your recent chess games that I analyzed and I will provide some personal feedback after that.
Game with white pieces.
Game with Black Pieces
Please flip the board to black side for better view.
Suggestions for SilverWolf’s Openings:
In your game with white, on move 3 when Black played Nf6, you responded with Nc3, and that’s where you lost the pawn.
In this position, which arises in the Italian Game, when Black attacks your pawn with Nf6, you should play d3 instead of automatically playing Nc3.
You also blundered on the very next move, but I won’t focus too much on the blunder.
Instead, my suggestion for your opening strategy is to play the Bishop’s Opening with 2. Bc4.
This usually transitions into the Italian Game but helps you avoid certain tactical traps.
Watch a couple of videos on the Bishop’s Opening on YouTube, and it will simplify your play.
Middlegame Suggestions:
In your game with the black pieces, I noticed a strategic mistake on move 15 when you played c6. This happened due to a lack of understanding of the middlegame.
In the middlegame, it’s crucial to focus on pawn weaknesses and pawn structures. These structures guide you on which side of the board to play for maximum advantage.
If I were in you, I would have played f5 on move 15 instead of c6.
My advice for the middlegame is to learn how to create weaknesses and understand pawn structures better.
Endgame Suggestion
You played endgame better, In the endgame, we have only two goals, one is to create weakness, and second is the create a new queen.
So when your game is converting to the endgame, you should focus on two things,
1.how to create more weakness in opponent’s camp.
2.how to create another queen. You should look for passed pawns.
Conclusion:
Now you have to learn about opening, middlegame, and endgame. Do not get stress about it, just give 10 minutes for each topic and in a week you will get better results.
One last advice is that you should stop playing bullet games for at least one week instead play blitz games.
Please do acknowledge me after one week whether your game and chess’s knowledge has been better or not.
