My Suggestions for “Chessisstrategic” [Case Study#11]

Development in chess takes time but it is completely worth it. Today I analyzed some of “chessisstrategic”‘s games. I want to talk about this one:

Please flip the board for better view.

My analysis:

You made mistakes in the opening, weakened your knight with b6 and created condition for a pin and your opponent took benefit and you lost a piece.

Opening advice:

If you play Caro-Kann learn the theory well and know the plans with black so you won’t fall for the trap like this.

General advice:

Be careful when you push your pawns because it creates weaknesses. For example, one pawn push lost a piece because it weakened your knight’s defense. You could have developed your bishop instead. So finish your development first and look out while choosing pawn moves.

Playing with longer time controls and analyzing the game afterwards will help you see your mistakes. Don’t forget to solve puzzles.
